A single antique Victorian heavy brass jam pan or saucepan. The vessel is constructed of heavy gauge brass or polished bronze, featuring a deep, rounded bottom and a slightly flared rim. An elongated, flat iron handle is affixed to the side of the vessel near the rim using three visible copper or brass rivets. The item is consistent with 19th-century kitchen utility ware designed for making preserves or jams. No manufacturer’s marks or identifying text are apparent on the surface of the object.
