Lot 450: A Collection of 16 Numbered Wooden Blocks in a Fitted Hardwood Case
A portable storage and transport case constructed from polished hardwood, likely mahogany or dark stained wood, featuring a reddish-brown finish. The case is secured by brass-tone latches and hinges and includes a black fabric carrying strap with silver-tone metal fittings. The interior is fitted to hold 16 individual rectangular wooden blocks. The collection consists of 16 blocks, numbered sequentially from 1 through 16 on their end grain. Many blocks also feature hand-drawn directional arrows and the letter ‘H’. A white safety warning sticker is affixed inside the base of the case, reading: “WARNING – ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GOGGLES,” followed by instructions for use, suggesting the set is a specialized reference or field testing apparatus.
