A modern six-piece Yixing-style stoneware tea service, presented in its original silk-lined decorative box with a matching circular tray. The set comprises a small globular teapot with a fitted lid and four diminutive teacups, all fashioned from unglazed reddish-brown zisha clay. The exterior of each vessel and the tray is embellished with intricate pierced and chased silver-toned metal overlays. The decorative programme depicts pairs of mandarin ducks, traditional symbols of marital fidelity and harmony, interspersed with ‘shuangxi’ (Double Happiness) characters. The base of the ceramic bears an impressed square artist’s seal mark. The presentation box retains a paper label with Chinese calligraphy identifying the set as part of a ‘Zhongguo Jixiang Wenji’ (Chinese Auspicious Patterns) collection, signed ‘Tao Jie’ (濤傑). Teapot length approximately 12 cm; Tray diameter approximately 18 cm.
