This antique utilitarian coal bin, or hearth bucket, is a single item lot dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. The cylindrical body is crafted from rolled sheet copper, featuring a decorative brass collar around the rim which is secured by a series of large, rounded brass rivets. It is fitted with a heavy wrought iron swing-bail handle attached to the rim via integral loops. No maker’s marks are visible on the piece. Dimensions: Approximately 32 cm x 33 cm.
