Lot 189: Corgi Classics Limited Edition Die-cast Metal Vehicle Presentation Sets, AEC Bus Set and Whitbread 250th Anniversary, Circa 1992

A collection of two limited edition Corgi Classics die-cast metal vehicle presentation sets. The first is The AEC Bus Set (Model No. 81180), featuring a yellow and blue AEC double-decker bus and an AEC Regal coach. This set is numbered 00663 of a 10,000-piece production run. The second is the Whitbread 250th Anniversary set (Model No. 81578), produced in 1992 to commemorate the brewery’s history from 1742 to 1992. This set includes an AEC Cabover tanker and a Thornycroft beer truck complete with a cargo of miniature barrels. This specific set is a low-numbered limited edition, being number 0043 of only 4,000 produced. Both sets are constructed from high-quality die-cast metal with plastic detailing and authentic period liveries. Each set is housed in its original illustrated cardboard box with moulded protective inserts and includes the original numbered limited edition certificate of authenticity.
