Lot 237: Corgi Classic Commercials, A Pair of Die-cast Model Vehicle Sets, Terry's of York and Bass, c. 1990s

A pair of boxed die-cast metal model vehicle sets from the celebrated Classic Commercials from CORGI series. The first set, reference 97753, features The Terry’s of York Thornycroft Van and Model T Van, finished in the distinctive cream and maroon livery of the famous confectioner established in 1767. The second set, reference 81548, contains The Bass Model T Van and Thornycroft, showcasing the historic branding of the brewery established in 1777, with additional livery for Corona Drinks. Each vehicle is constructed from die-cast metal with fine detailing, designed to replicate early 20th-century commercial transport. These sets were produced as part of Corgi’s heritage range, with the Bass set being a limited edition release. Both sets are presented in their original illustrated cardboard packaging featuring period-accurate graphics and branding.
