Lot 1120: Chodovia Lidded Wooden Tankard

A vintage lidded tankard of segmented wood construction, produced by the Chodovia folk-art cooperative. The body is formed of alternating vertical staves of light and dark stained wood, creating a striped aesthetic. The front is decorated with a pyrographic medallion depicting the Hradčany castle complex in Prague, with the inscription PRAHA positioned below the cityscape. The vessel features a hinged wooden lid and a carved handle. The base retains a partial paper label with printed text including Chodovia Domažlice and various production codes. A UK one-pound coin is present in the images for scale.
