Lot 1154: A mid-20th-century Swiss Amyral desk alarm clock by Looping

A Swiss-made mechanical desk or mantel alarm clock, marketed under the Amyral brand and manufactured by Looping. The timepiece features an 8-jewel mechanical movement, as indicated by the 8 Rubis inscription on the dial. The circular gold-toned brass case is mounted on a black-finished arched pedestal base. The black dial is configured with white Arabic numerals and a minute track, featuring gold-toned hour and minute hands with luminous infill and a central seconds hand. The dial bears the text Amyral, Fab. Looping, and 8 Rubis below the 12 o’clock position, with Swiss manufacture marks present at the bottom edge.
