Lot 1168: Marks & Spencer Ivy Collection Hand Decorated Italian Glass Bowl

A contemporary glass bowl from the Ivy collection, retailed by Marks & Spencer and manufactured in Italy. The piece is of shallow circular form, featuring a mottled amber and gold-toned finish achieved through hand-applied gold leaf decoration. The interior surface is further detailed with etched and gilded foliate motifs depicting leaves and stems. The underside retains the original manufacturer’s paper label which identifies the piece as an Ivy Lge Bowl, style number T27/1924, and confirms it was hand decorated with gold leaf. A standard British one pound coin is pictured in the centre of the bowl for scale.
