Lot 1391: Mid-20th Century Polychrome Glazed Ceramic Pastoral Female Figurine

A polychrome glazed ceramic figurine depicting a female figure in a pastoral pose. The figure is modelled wearing a ruffled pink bodice with a black waist cincher and a full yellow skirt featuring a horizontal black band. She carries a basket containing flowers or grain under her right arm. The figure is set upon a circular, stepped base decorated with gilded foliate scrolls and a gadrooned lower edge. The underside of the base is hollow and finished with a white glaze. No maker’s marks or factory stamps are present.
