Lot 719: James Kent Old Foley Chintz Pattern Earthenware Pedestal Bowl

A mid-20th-century earthenware pedestal bowl produced by James Kent Ltd. of Longton, Staffordshire, as part of the Old Foley range. The vessel features a shallow, wide body with a scalloped rim, supported by a short, circular pedestal foot. The interior and exterior are decorated with an all-over floral chintz transfer-print, featuring dense clusters of pink, yellow, purple, and blue flowers with green foliage on a cream ground. The rim is finished with a hand-applied line in a dark pink or maroon tone. The base displays a brown underglaze printed mark depicting a crown above a globe with a banner reading Old Foley, a curved banner below reading James Kent, and the text Made in England.
