A cast pewter posy vase of tapered rectangular form, manufactured by Seagull, Canada. The vessel is designed in an Art Nouveau revival style, featuring a relief-cast botanical motif of sweeping stems and a central cluster of berries or buds. The body is mounted upon a stepped square pedestal base. The underside of the base bears the incised marks © 1992 Seagull Canada and Pewter Étain Z117, with étain being the French translation for pewter. The item is photographed containing artificial floral stems including representations of snowdrops and snakes-head fritillaries.
