Lot 233: A novelty ceramic Liquorice Allsort style lidded box

A novelty ceramic lidded box, likely earthenware, designed in the form of a Liquorice Allsort sweet. The square-section body is decorated with wide horizontal bands of black, white, and pink glaze. The matching square lid is finished in a solid pink glaze and features a small, black cylindrical finial. The interior of the box features a circular well. No maker’s marks or inscriptions are visible on the surfaces. An auction lot sticker is present on the lid bearing the number 8265 and the date 23 March 2026. The piece is designed in the style of mid-to-late 20th-century British novelty kitchenware.
