A mid-to-late 20th-century novelty pencil sharpener base, die-cast in white metal with a dull grey pewter-tone finish. The figurine is modelled as a knight in 16th-century style full plate armour, standing upon a stepped rectangular plinth. The figure is accompanied by a separate sword which passes through a hole in the plinth. The side of the base contains a rectangular cutout designed to house a sharpening mechanism. No maker marks, hallmarks, or inscriptions are visible.
