Lot 78: A Collection of Christmas-Themed Ceramic Tableware Including Spode, Royal Grafton, and Olintos

A collection of various Christmas-themed ceramic tableware featuring items from Spode, Royal Grafton, Olintos, and Meander BV. The assembly includes a large baluster-form earthenware pitcher with a scrolled handle and a matching circular cake stand or charger with a textured rim. Both Italian pieces are decorated with hand-painted holly leaves, red berries, and scrolling vines, accented by red sponged borders. The pitcher base bears an oval mark for Olintos, Italy, and is further marked Collezione. Included is a Spode earthenware mug in the Christmas Tree pattern, transfer-printed with a decorated tree and gifts, marked on the base with the pattern name and c. 1938 S3324-A12. The collection also features Royal Grafton fine bone china in the Noel pattern, consisting of three demitasse cups and a stack of matching saucers decorated with transfer-printed holly and mistletoe sprigs and gilded rims. The bases feature a red script Noel mark above a holly sprig. One additional demitasse cup is present, bearing a circular mark for Meander BV on the base. Completing the group is a small scalloped-edge ceramic plate featuring a transfer-printed robin in a holly nest with a gilded rim, which remains unmarked.
