An Edwardian sterling silver open-face pocket watch. The case is hallmarked for the Chester Assay Office with the date letter B for 1902. It bears the maker mark TPH for the case maker Thomas Peter Hewitt of Prescot, Lancashire. The interior case back is stamped with the serial number 36011. The watch features a white enamel dial with black Roman numeral hour markers and a subsidiary seconds dial at the 3 o’clock position, a configuration known as a sidewinder. The case back is finished with engine-turned decoration and a vacant central circular cartouche. The movement is a manual wind type.
