Lot 114: A Polished Brass Wall Mounted Nautical Style Ship's Bell
A wall mounted bell of cast brass construction, designed in a traditional nautical style. The bell features a flared rim and is decorated with concentric horizontal lines around the body. It is suspended from a matching arched brass bracket which includes a rectangular mounting plate with two pre-drilled holes for installation. The bell is equipped with a central internal clapper and a knotted cotton pull rope. The exterior surfaces have been polished to a bright finish, while the interior remains in an unpolished, darkened state. No maker’s marks or inscriptions are present.
