Lot 182: A Large Murano Art Glass Clown Figurine
This large hand-blown art glass figurine is attributed to Murano, Italy, and is executed in the characteristic mid-20th-century Venetian style. The figure is constructed from clear glass with internal polychrome splashes and streaks in shades of white, red, yellow, and green. It features various applied glass elements, including a black top hat, spiky yellow hair, large white eyes with green pupils, and a red nose and mouth. The clown is further detailed with a clear ruffled collar, a large translucent blue bow tie, blue glass arms terminating in white gloved hands, a single blue chest button, and oversized translucent blue shoes. No factory marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the piece.
