Lot 276: A Mid-20th Century Stucco Aluminium Clad Traveling Trunk. COLLECTION ONLY
A rectangular traveling trunk of mid-20th century design, featuring an exterior clad in textured stucco aluminium sheeting. The construction is reinforced with black-painted metal bands secured by rivets. The trunk is fitted with four metal draw-bolt latches to the front and a central hasp lock mechanism. It includes metal corner protectors and heavy-duty composite or leather handles to the sides. The interior consists of a single open compartment lined with blue and white houndstooth patterned paper. Marks are present on the central brass lock plate, though they are largely illegible due to wear.
