A pair of contemporary three-drawer bedside chests from the Oyster Bay collection by Alstons Furniture, Ipswich. The units are constructed from laminated particle board and MDF, finished in a light neutral wood-effect synthetic veneer described by the manufacturer as low U.F. and V.O.C. free. Each chest features three drawers with recessed concentric rectangular patterns to the fronts. The drawers are of modern machine-made construction with wood-effect interiors. Each drawer is fitted with a single circular pull handle in an aged metal-effect finish featuring a decorative basketweave design. An oval manufacturer’s label is present inside one drawer reading Alstons Furniture, IPSWICH, SUFFOLK, ENGLAND. A secondary label on the reverse identifies the product number as OBPC and the collection name as OYSTER BAY.
