Lot 116: A Collection of Vintage Thundercats and Masters of the Universe Action Figures by LJN and Mattel
A collection of vintage 1980s action figures and creatures including five items from the Thundercats line by LJN Toys and one modified figure from the Masters of the Universe line by Mattel. The Thundercats group features Lion-O, Cheetara, WilyKit, WilyKat, and the Spit-Bull bulldog-like creature. Lion-O is equipped with the Sword of Omens and the red Claw Shield and features a functional battle-matic action lever on the reverse to trigger arm movement. The Masters of the Universe figure is based on Trap Jaw, bearing the marks Mattel Inc. 1981 and Hong Kong on the soles of the green feet. This figure has been kitbashed or modified, with its original robotic arm replaced by two purple articulated appendages characteristic of the Mattel Modulok or Multi-Bot figures. It retains a manually operated hinged jaw mechanism. All figures are constructed from moulded plastic.
