Lot 259: An Assortment of Vintage and Modern Wristwatches and a Smiths Pocket Watch
This lot contains several timepieces including four wristwatches and one pocket watch. The collection comprises a Sekonda manual wind wristwatch featuring a 23 jewel movement and a gold-toned base metal case. The silvered sunburst dial is set with gold-toned baton hour markers and hands, with markings for 23 Jewels and USSR at the 6 o’clock position. It is fitted with an integrated gold-toned textured link bracelet. Also included is a Russian Vostok Komandirskie military-style wristwatch featuring a chrome-plated case with a bi-directional rotating bezel. The black dial displays green luminous Arabic numerals, a red star emblem at 12 o’clock, and a white tank graphic, presented on a black nylon fabric strap with leather-like reinforcement. A Seiko Kinetic SQ 100 wristwatch is present, featuring a two-tone stainless steel and gold-toned case with a blue sunray dial, gold-toned baton indices, and a date aperture at 3 o’clock, fitted to a two-tone jubilee-style bracelet. The fourth wristwatch is a Citron International quartz model with a gold-toned case, fluted bezel, black dial, and gold-toned jubilee-style bracelet. The lot is completed by a Smiths open face pocket watch in a chrome-plated base metal case. The cream-coloured dial has black Arabic numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and is marked Made in Gt Britain. No boxes or papers are included with these items.
Case sizes vary from approximately 32mm to 50mm.
