A pair of Chinese embroidered silk panels, likely sleeve bands (chushou) removed from a traditional robe. Each rectangular panel features a vibrant blue silk ground finished with black silk borders and decorative floral-patterned ribbon edging. One panel is decorated with couched metallic thread, likely silver-wrapped silk, depicting a dragon and a phoenix (fenghuang) amongst scrolling clouds and flaming pearls, with a stylized lishui wave pattern at one end. The second panel is worked in polychrome silk embroidery in the bird and flower (huaniao) style, depicting a long-tailed bird among flowering branches and butterflies using satin and long-and-short stitches. No maker marks or inscriptions are visible.
