Lot 64: A Trio of Le Creuset Mini Sauce Jars
A set of three contemporary glazed stoneware mini sauce jars manufactured by Le Creuset. The collection includes three distinct colours: forest green, burgundy, and lime green. Each jar is of square form with horizontal ribbing and a circular relief emblem on the front face depicting a botanical motif. The forest green jar features a pair of leaves, the burgundy jar displays a bunch of grapes, and the lime green jar depicts an apple. The stepped circular lids are finished with a central knob and a notch designed to accommodate a small serving spoon. Each lid is embossed with the manufacturer name Le Creuset. The unglazed bases of the forest green and lime green jars are impressed with the maker mark, a registered trademark symbol, and numerical codes 12 – 14 and 11 – 39 respectively. The burgundy jar retains a manufacturer paper label.
