Lot 514: Two Royal Doulton Classic Pooh Four Seasons Collection Porcelain Figurines
A pair of glazed porcelain figurines from the Royal Doulton Classic Pooh Four Seasons Collection, based on the original illustrations by E.H. Shepard for the Winnie-the-Pooh works by A.A. Milne. The first figurine is titled Sometimes Autumn Tickles Your Nose (WP 43) and depicts Tigger lying on a bed of multicoloured autumn leaves with a single leaf resting on his nose. The second figurine is titled Eeyore made a Wintery Wish (WP 44) and shows Eeyore sitting on a snow-covered base with a mound of snow on his head, holding a snowball in his paws. Both items are hand made and hand decorated. The base of each figurine features a printed backstamp with the Classic Pooh and Royal Doulton logos, model title, model number, copyright information for Disney, and the production date of 2002. Both figurines are accompanied by their original illustrated presentation boxes and Certificates of Authenticity.
