Lot 525: A Collection of Assorted Cut Glass and Ceramic Rose Bowls

This collection comprises several rose bowls and flower vases, including lead crystal and English bone china examples. The largest piece is a circular bowl of heavy lead crystal featuring hand-cut patterns of mitre-cut diamonds and fan motifs, fitted with a removable chrome-plated wire mesh frog. A medium-sized glass bowl features diamond-cut decoration and is finished with an ornate silver-toned metal rim showing repoussé-style scrolling foliate and shell patterns, also containing a wire mesh frog. A smaller, rounded glass vessel displays vertical flute and diamond-cut patterns and includes a separate heavy-moulded glass frog insert with multiple circular apertures for stems. The ceramic piece is a small, footed bone china bowl manufactured by the Fenton China Company of Stoke-on-Trent, England. It is decorated with transfer-printed pansies in shades of purple, yellow, and blue, featuring a gilt-lined rim and a chrome-plated wire mesh frog. The base of the ceramic bowl is marked English Bone China above a crown graphic, with Fenton China Company printed below.
