Lot 620: A Collection of Johnson Brothers Eternal Beau Pattern Earthenware Tableware

A comprehensive service of Johnson Brothers earthenware in the Eternal Beau pattern, designed by Sarina Mascheroni. The pieces feature a distinctive octagonal form with transfer-printed decoration consisting of a delicate pale-pink ribbon entwined with a green vine and small pink flowers on a cream ground. The collection includes a large octagonal serving platter with integral handles, dinner plates, side or salad plates, dessert or soup bowls, and tea or coffee cups with matching octagonal saucers. Also present is a cream jug, a circular ceramic lid, and a stack of matching octagonal placemats. Most ceramic items bear a black printed backstamp to the base which states: JOHNSON BROTHERS, MADE IN ENGLAND, Eternal Beau, A SARINA MASCHERONI DESIGN, DISHWASHER SAFE.
