Lot 625: Two Articulated and Carved Wooden Figurative Sculptures

A group of two carved wooden items comprising an articulated figure and a separate bust. The figure features painted dark brown hair and fixed downcast eyes, with a distressed blue-grey painted finish applied to the torso, upper arms, and lower legs. It is constructed with peg joints at the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees. The figure is mounted on a rectangular dark-stained wooden base by a metal rod. The second item is a hand-carved wooden bust with fixed painted eyes and defined brows, featuring a black-painted cap or hair at the crown. The surface shows visible hand-carving and chisel marks to the neck and chest. It is mounted on a tapering rectangular wooden plinth via a small metal pin.
