Lot 815: A Collection of 44 Music and Spoken Word Cassette Tapes with Two Carrying Cases
A collection of 44 cassette tapes primarily dating from the 1980s and 1990s, encompassing pop, mainstream, promotional, and spoken word releases. The lot features artists including Mariah Carey, Kelis, Backstreet Boys, Eternal, Bros, Five, Steps, NSYNC, Go West, Seal, Aqua, Bruce Willis, Terence Trent D’Arby, Marcella Detroit, Elkie Brooks, and Barbra Streisand. Promotional and compilation releases include the Twix 16 Trax double album, Cadbury’s Flake Dream Collection, Domestos 50 Years Top of the Charts Volume Three, 100% DJ 2 (Telstar), and a Manchester United FC themed tape. Spoken word and easy listening titles include Agatha Christie’s Stories from Miss Marple’s Final Cases, Jane Fonda’s Workout, and recordings by Vera Lynn, Fred Astaire, Bing Crosby, and The Andrews Sisters. The collection is housed in two black faux-leather carrying cases. One case is designed in a briefcase style with a handle and metal latches, while the other contains a tiered internal plastic organiser. One cassette is a hand-labelled home recording on 90 LH super ferro tape.
