Lot 152: LJN Thundercats Mumm-Ra's Tomb Fortress Playset 1986. No Mumm_Ra Figure
A vintage Thundercats Mumm-Ra’s Tomb Fortress playset manufactured by LJN Toys Ltd in 1986. The set is constructed from moulded plastic and features a central fortress designed as a large skull with a transformation chamber. The lot includes the main unit and two mechanical statue guardians comprising a black crocodile-like figure and a brown bull-headed minotaur figure. The fortress incorporates a mechanical transformation function operated by a red gear on the reverse which rotates an internal platform. The unit features glow-in-the-dark eyes and teeth with the reverse detailed with printed decals representing control panels. Embossed marks to the base of the statues and internal components include LJN TOYS LTD, ©1986 LORIMAR-TELEPIX, LCI, T. WOLF, with origins noted as Made in China and Made in U.S.A. The original illustrated cardboard box is included. The Mumm-Ra action figure originally sold with this set is not present.
