Lot 157: Palitoy Action Man Skyhawk The Flying Wing Accessory
A vintage late-1970s Palitoy Action Man Skyhawk The Flying Wing accessory, produced under licence from Hasbro Industries Inc. This large-scale flying accessory is designed as a functional hang-glider for use with 12-inch Action Man figures. The assembly consists of a multi-part moulded yellow plastic frame, several wooden dowel spars, and a yellow vinyl sail decorated with the Action Man Skyhawk logo in red and blue. The side of the box is marked Made in England by Palitoy Ltd., Coalville, Leicester under licence from Hasbro Industries Inc. Pawtucket R.I. U.S.A. Cat. No. 34724. The lot includes the main plastic frame components, a bundle of wooden spars, the original vinyl sail, an original illustrated instruction booklet, and a supplementary typed instruction sheet for launching and flying. An Action Man figure is not included as per the original retail packaging.
