A pair of contemporary rectangular sandwich trays of moulded melamine construction, manufactured for the British retailer Matalan PLC. Each tray features a printed decorative scene depicting a traditional French shopfront titled Cafe des Amis, with additional signage including Restaurant a la Carte, Jacques, and Crustaces. The artwork bears the printed signature of Chiu Tak Hak in the upper right corner. The reverse of one tray retains an original adhesive label identifying the product as a Cafe des amis sandwich tray and providing care instructions, noting the maker as Matalan PLC, WN8 9TB.
