A group of drawings executed in graphite on off-white wove paper, attributed to E.H. Shepard (British, 1879-1976), illustrating various iconic scenes from A.A. Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh. The collection features depictions of Pooh floating with a balloon inscribed “Chap I P. 15”, Pooh and Piglet standing before a “TIKITS” booth, Pooh seated on a wooden fence with a honey pot bearing an EHS monogram in the lower right, and a dialogue scene between Pooh and Eeyore inscribed “Sad? Why should I be sad?”. The works are mounted and housed in simple wooden frames, including pine and light-toned wood. Measurements are taken from the provided 150mm scale.
