Lot 336: John Player Superkings Advertising Ashtray in Moulded Black Glass

A mid-to-late 20th-century advertising ashtray of square form, constructed from moulded black glass. The piece features a central square well and is designed with dual-grooved cigarette rests at opposite corners. One exterior face is decorated with printed commercial branding for John Player Superkings, consisting of a red and black heraldic crest positioned above gold-toned horizontal lines, with the text JOHN PLAYER and SUPERKINGS rendered in capital letters. The remaining three sides and the interior well are finished in plain black glass. A British coin is included in the documentation for scale.
