This glazed porcelain figurine is of Italian manufacture, designed in the Chinoiserie style. The figure is depicted in traditional East Asian dress, wearing a wide conical hat and carrying a basket in the right hand. The clothing is decorated with hand-painted floral motifs in shades of pink, purple, and blue, with black outlines and gold gilt highlights. The figure stands on a circular pedestal base with yellow and gold bands. The underside of the base is marked in black ink with a cross symbol and 468A ITALY.
